We’ve had two fabulous days of semi-finals in Hastings with the brilliant young Southbank Sinfonia who accompanied our 10 semi-finalists in concertos by Mozart and Beethoven. The members of our hugely experienced and knowledgeable jury once again carefully considered each performance before casting their votes – and five competitors have been selected to go forward to the finals with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra tomorrow and on Saturday (1 & 2 March).

Once again we commend all our participants. Every one of them is extraordinarily talented and we’re grateful to them all for travelling to Hastings to take part. We wish them the best of luck in their future careers.
