Curtis visits the beautiful surroundings of St Mary’s Church in Perivale – just 30 minutes from the middle of London on the central line. Built in the 12th or 13th century, St Mary’s has been a flourishing arts centre since the 1970s and hosts an exceptional series of recitals and concerts. Programme includes Beethoven’s Waldstein Sonata and Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition.
