Meet the pianists: K-L
Misha Kaploukhii, 23
RUSSIA
Misha Kaploukhii is a graduate of the Moscow Gnessin College of Music, where he studied under Mikhail Egiazaryan. He is now pursuing a Master of Performance at the Royal College of Music under Ian Jones. Recent prizes include the RCM Concerto Competition, the Hopkinson Gold Medal at the Chappell Medal Piano Competition, First and Audience Prizes in the UK Sheepdrove Piano Competition and Grand Prix at the Sicily International Piano Competition.
Jeongjin Kim, 28
SOUTH KOREA
Jeongjin Kim is a prize-winner of several international competitions, including the Karlrobert Kreiten Competition (Cologne), the Steinway & Sons FörderpreisNRW and the Campillos International Piano Competition (Spain). Her performances have taken her to Korea and Europe. Kim graduated from Seoul National University under Professor Aviram Richert. Currently pursuing her Master’s and Postgraduate studies at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz in Köln with Professors Claudio Martínez Mehner, Severin von Eckardstein and Nina Tichman. She reached the semi-finals of the 2024 Hastings International Piano Competition.
Seunghui Kim, 26
SOUTH KOREA
Seunghui Kim studied with Choong Mo Kang and Sook Ryeon Park and finished her bachelor’s with Aviram Reichert at the Seoul National University. She is a prize-winner of Hong Kong Asia Piano Open Competition, Karol Szymanowski International Music Competition and Svetislav Stančić International Piano Competition. She has performed with orchestras including Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra. She is currently pursuing her master’s degree in Universität der Künste Berlin with Björn Lehmann.
Song Hyeon Kim, 23
SOUTH KOREA
In 2024 Kim won First Prize at the New York Liszt International Piano Competition, held at Carnegie Hall’s Stern Auditorium/Perelman Stage. Kim has appeared as soloist with the Orchestra of St. Luke’s, the Korean National Symphony, the KBS Symphony, the Sendai Philharmonic, the Busan Philharmonic, and the Eurasian Philharmonic. A graduate of Yewon School and Seoul Arts High School, Kim studies at the New England Conservatory with renowned pianists Hae-Sun Paik and Dang Thai Son.
Arthur Kokerai, 19
ZIMBABWE
Arthur began his musical education in 2012 at the Gnessin College of Music in Moscow, studying under Elena Plyashkevich. Currently at the Royal Academy of Music studying under Professor Joanna MacGregor. Arthur has performed in many of Russia’s prestigious concert halls, including the Moscow State Conservatoire and the Zaryadye Concert Hall. Arthur has participated in several international competitions including the Dublin International Piano Competition 2025.
Olga Lazurenko, 21
RUSSIA
Olga is currently studying at the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory under Professor Vladimir Ovchinnikov. She was a recent prize-winner at the VI Krainev International Piano Competition, the VIII International Piano Competition in Memory of Vera Lotar-Shevchenko, the International Slonimsky Competition and the Franz Liszt Center Competition. She took part in the 20th and 21st century music Orléans Concours International Competition. Olga has worked with conductors including Ivan Nikiforchin, Valdimir Veritsky and Alexey Dorkin.
Huan Li, 21
CHINA
Boston based Huan Li has played in Austria, China, France, Switzerland, and the United States. Notable venues include Alice Tully Hall, Jordan Hall, Kneisel Hall, the National Grand Theater of China, and Solitär at Universität Mozarteum in Salzburg. She has performed with the Juilliard Orchestra, Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, and Salzburg Chamber Soloists. She has participated in competitions including the 2018 Gina Bachauer Piano Competition and the 1st Zhuhai International Mozart Competition.
Pin-Hong Lin, 24
TAIWAN
Pin-Hong Lin, began studying piano at an early age under the guidance of Chia- Chen Liang and then with Professor Hsing-Chun Giselle Hsin. Lin is pursuing his master’s degree at the Jacobs School of Music, Indiana University under Professor Norman Krieger. In 2023 he won first prize in the 13th Rising Stars Competition organized by the Taipei Symphony Orchestra. Lin has performed with Symphony Orchestras in Taiwan, Taipei and Barcelona.
