Hamish Brown

Hamish Brown is a British pianist, based in London. An award-winning and highly versatile collaborative artist, his international work with singers, instrumentalists and orchestras has taken him to Wigmore Hall, Royal Albert Hall, Oxford International Song Festival, Beethovenfest Bonn, Cadogan Hall, Klosters Music Festival, Royal Festival Hall, Schubertíada Vilabertran, Kings Place, Sadler’s Wells, Saffron Hall, Buxton International Festival, Heidelberger Frühling, Aldeburgh Festival, Hay Festival, Three Palaces Festival, International Lied Festival Zeist, Leeds Lieder Festival, St John’s Smith Square, Lichfield Festival, Legislative Assembly of Madeira and The Danish Song Society. 

Hamish has performed in the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra, BBC Symphony Orchestra, Orpheus Sinfonia and Southbank Sinfonia, under conductors including Vasily Petrenko, John Wilson, Vladimir Jurowski and Thomas Adès. 

His performances have been broadcast on BBC Radio 3, BBC Radio 4, BBC Four and Danish Radio. His debut album — a recital disc entitled The Deeps Have Music, with internationally celebrated mezzo-soprano Beth Taylor — will be released on Linn Records in summer 2026. 

Kumi Matsuo

Kumi Matsuo is a versatile solo and collaborative pianist. She has won numerous competitions including First Prize in the 6th Isidor Bajic Memorial Piano Competition in Serbia and First Prize in the 5th Louisiana International Piano Competition, USA. She is a staff member of the Royal College of Music, working as Duo Coach to the String Faculty, as well as accompanying other instruments. 

She studied at the Toho Gakuen Music High School and the Toho Gakuen College of Music, Tokyo, and then at the Royal College of Music in London. She completed her studies there with the awards of Master of Music and Artist Diploma after which she was invited to be the Anthony Saltmarsh Junior Fellow in Collaborative Piano. Her study was generously supported by Charles Napper Award, the Russell Gander Award and the Rohm Music Foundation. 

Kumi has been an official accompanist of Hastings International Piano Competition and served on the faculty of Keshet Eilon International String Mastercourse, New Virtuosi International Violin Mastercourse, Musica Mundi International Chamber Music Course and Saline Royale Academy.   

Mengyang Pan

Renowned for her elegant stage presence and deeply communicative artistry, Mengyang Pan has performed on many of the world’s leading stages, including the Royal Festival Hall, Wigmore Hall, Cadogan Hall, Birmingham Symphony Hall, UNESCO Paris, and the Brucknerhaus. Her performances have captivated audiences across Europe, the United States, Asia, and have been broadcast on BBC Radio 3 and Ö1 Kulturjournal.  

Born in China, Mengyang began her musical training at the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing before moving to the UK on a full scholarship to study at the Purcell School with Tessa Nicholson. She later completed her studies at the Royal College of Music, working with Gordon Fergus-Thompson and Prof. Vanessa Latarche. A laureate of several international competitions, she has received prizes at the Rina Sala Gallo, Ettlingen, Bromsgrove, Dudley, and Birmingham International Piano Competitions. Her playing has been praised for its tonal finesse and poetic depth. Mengyang is a piano professor at the Royal College of Music and an active pedagogue, regularly adjudicating competitions and giving masterclasses internationally.
