Autumn Recital at The Stables

Following his acclaimed Wigmore Hall debut earlier this year, Hastings International Piano Competition winner Ryan Zhu returns to Hastings for a special recital at The Stables Theatre on Monday 12 October.

This recital is the first date to be announced in Ryan Zhu's UK autumn tour, with further performances to be revealed in the coming months.

A recent graduate of the Juilliard School in New York and now studying for a Master's at Yale, the 22-year-old Canadian pianist has quickly established himself as one of the most exciting young artists of his generation.

Ryan first won over Hastings audiences with his compelling performances at the Hastings International Piano Competition, where he claimed first prize with a stunning interpretation of Prokofiev's Piano Concerto No. 2.

His recital at The Stables Theatre will feature works by Haydn, Beethoven, Scriabin and Chopin, including a performance of all four of Chopin's Ballades.
