Thomas Kelly in Italy
HIP 2022 alumnus Thomas Kelly was awarded Second Prize at the 2026 Liszt International Competition in Utrecht. A Benjamin Britten Fellow at the Royal College of Music, where he studied with Dmitri Alexeev and HIP Artistic Director Vanessa Latarche, Thomas has released his debut album, Ad Nos: Organ Works Arranged for Piano (Rubicon Classics), to high critical praise and was named One to Watch by Gramophone Magazine.
His recital celebrates the music of Franz Liszt, including Les Préludes, his virtuosic Fantasia and Fugue on “Ad nos, ad salutarem undam”, and his transcription of Weber’s Konzertstück in F minor – a thrilling programme showcasing Liszt’s extraordinary imagination and pianistic brilliance.
