Semi-finals: results

The semi-finals of this year's Hastings International Piano Competition have now drawn to a close. All ten semi-finalists performed classical concertos with Sinfonia Smith Square - a chamber orchestra made up of graduates from the British conservatoires who are just embarking on careers as professional orchestral musicians. 

Professor Vanessa Latarche, Artistic Director and Chair of the Jury, has just announced the five competitors who will go through to the finals from the stage of the White Rock Theatre in Hastings. They are:
 

09 - Roman Fediurko
21 - Pin-Hong Lin
35 - Jiwon Yang
36 - Adria Ye
39 - Ryan Zhu
 

There will be two finals in which finalists will perform concertos with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Rory Macdonald. The first three competitors will perform on Friday evening, and the last two on Saturday evening.

There are still a few tickets available for tomorrow evening if you wish to attend in person, but just a handful for Saturday evening. Please check the White Rock website for availability.
