Hastings Piano Competition’s 2022 third prize winner Mariamna Sherling returns to Hastings with a festive recital featuring Bach, Liszt, and Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker suite.

Our schools programme has now reached over 500 children in Hastings. Last week, Sam Glazer and pianist Rose McLachlan inspired 20 Key Stage 2 students at St Paul’s CE Academy.

Music in the Meadow is making a triumphant return in 2024, transforming the Priory Meadow Shopping Centre into a hub for local pianists to showcase their talents. We’re inviting players of all ages and skill levels to book their slots to play a Bechstein Grand Piano in front of an audience.

This year the Hastings International Piano Concerto Competition is introducing a new addition to the competition. For the first time, all participants will be required to perform a newly commissioned piece. The commission for 2024 is Time Unredeemable, by the distinguished composer Lera Auerbach.
